Otonomee Case Study

Challenge

Otonomee are a rapidly growing start-up originally based in Ireland and looking to expand to Portugal due to rapid scale and growth. They consulted MA as we are experts in this area and have a strong global presence and knowledge of the Portuguese market. Otonomee were looking to fill roles across the following sectors: 

• Customer Service
• Sales Development
• Other Ad-Hoc Roles including: 
• Head of Finance
• HR Generalist
• Head of Operations

Solution

As part of Project Solutions, we embedded a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist within the Otonomee organisation to undertake all production, advertising and hiring of job roles across job boards, social media etc. With persuasive messaging and communication, we utilized direct and indirect marketing channels across social media and traditional advertising; and promotion within our owned communities and network. This dedicated TA Specialist has engrained themselves within Otonomee, ensuring to learn about their culture and values to fully embrace the Otonomee environment and find the right people. Weekly meetings are held with the Chief People Officer within Otonomee during which our TA Specialist reports back on current market trends within Portugal, the current job status of each open role and other relevant information, giving a valuable insight into a new market for Otonomee.  

Outcome:

MA have successfully partnered with Otonomee on an ongoing basis for the last year with no set end-date. We have successfully integrated 17 new hires since November 2021 to the Otonomee team. As Otonomee continue to grow, we will continue to support them with plans to scale to a workforce of 100 people across Ireland and the EU by the end of 2022 and progressing that number to 1,000 by the end of 2023.
