Are you ready to lead a groundbreaking R&D project at a globally recognised medical device company? We are seeking a Research and Development Manager to spearhead an early-stage, high-impact project and shape the future of innovation in the industry.

 

Reporting directly to the Director of Research and Development, this role offers the unique opportunity to lead a team of 6 talented engineers while collaborating with a broader division of over 70 R&D professionals.

 

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week on-site, giving you the flexibility to balance office and remote work.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of 6 engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Drive the successful delivery of a critical R&D project, leveraging technical and managerial expertise.
  • Collaborate across teams and departments to achieve project milestones and organizational goals.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of success in R&D management within the medical device industry, as well as the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years in R&D, preferably within medical devices or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of people management experience, with a strong focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Science, Pharmaceuticals, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
